The pie charts compare the main sources of news for teenagers, young adults, and old people according to a 2022 survey.
Overall, television was a widely used news source across all age groups. It was the most popular choice for old people (42%) and young adults (35%), while over one-third of teenagers also relied on it. However, online news sites were the primary source for teenagers, with 52% selecting this option, whereas only 6% of old people used them. In contrast, printed newspapers were much more popular among old people (29%) compared to young adults (6%) and teenagers (7%). Additionally, other sources accounted for around a quarter of young adults (26%) and old people (23%), while only 4% of teenagers relied on them.
This data highlights the generational differences in news consumption, with younger individuals favoring digital sources while older people prefer traditional media.
