Nowadays, more young Vietnamese celebrate festivals like Christmas and Halloween. Some people think this is good, while others worry about foreign influence. I believe it is not harmful if we still respect Vietnamese traditions.
Firstly, these festivals bring fun and creativity. Halloween lets young people wear costumes and enjoy games, while Christmas creates a warm, joyful atmosphere. Such activities help them relax and connect with friends.
Secondly, celebrating international festivals helps young people learn about other cultures. In today’s global world, this openness makes them more understanding and adaptable.
However, we must not forget our own festivals such as Tet and the Mid-Autumn Festival. They are part of our identity and should always be preserved.
