Walt Disney is famous around the world for creating Mickey Mouse and building Disneyland. He was born in Chicago, the USA, in 1901 and studied at McKinley High School as well as the Chicago Art Institute. He became a very successful film-maker who created famous films such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Cinderella. Apart from making films, he was also known for opening Disneyland, one of the most popular theme parks in the world. He had four brothers and one sister, and he and his wife Lillian Bounds had two daughters. He died in 1966, but The Walt Disney Studios has continued to grow and become one of the most successful entertainment companies in the world.
