Walt Disney is known worldwide as the creator of Mickey Mouse and the founder of Disneyland. His work has brought happiness to millions of people, both children and adults.
Childhood and education
He was born in Chicago in 1901 and grew up in Missouri. From an early age, he loved drawing. Later, he studied art at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts.
Achievements
Disney was a talented filmmaker. His short film Steamboat Willie introduced Mickey Mouse and became a great success. Apart from making cartoons, he created Disneyland and Disney World, the most famous theme parks in the world. He received 22 Academy Awards, more than anyone else in history.
Family
He had four brothers and one sister. He married Lillian Bounds and had two daughters.
Death and success of The Walt Disney Studios
He died in 1966, but the Walt Disney Company continues to produce popular films and magical entertainment.
