Walt Disney is known worldwide as a pioneer in animation and the visionary behind some of the most beloved characters and stories in entertainment history.
Born on December 5, 1901, in Chicago, Illinois, Walt showed a passion for drawing from a young age. He attended McKinley High School, where he honed his artistic skills and later studied art and design. His creativity and determination led him to revolutionize the animation industry.
Walt Disney created Mickey Mouse, a character that quickly became a cultural icon. He was also the mastermind behind Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the world’s first full-length animated feature film. Beyond movies, Walt changed the entertainment world with the creation of Disneyland, the first-ever theme park that brought magic to life.
He grew up with four siblings and had two daughters with his wife, Lillian. Walt passed away on December 15, 1966, but his imagination and legacy continue to inspire generations. Today, The Walt Disney Studios remains a global leader in storytelling and family entertainment.
