The Roof of the World: Mount Everest

Mount Everest, the highest point on Earth, stands at a majestic 8,848 meters above sea level. Located in the Himalayas on the border between Nepal and China, it is known locally as "Sagarmatha" in Nepalese and "Chomolungma" in Tibetan. Since Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay first reached the summit in 1953, around 3,000 people have followed in their footsteps.

For those dreaming of a visit, the best times are April to early June or September to November. The journey typically begins with a flight to Kathmandu, followed by a trip to Lukla. From there, it takes approximately 14 days to hike to Everest Base Camp, including essential stops for acclimatization.

My favorite method of learning English is listening to English songs and watching movies and short videos in English. These are great methods to help me learn English well. These methods help me practice my listening and speaking skills in English. In addition, sometimes I read stories and learn new English words to practice my reading and writing skills.
