In recent years, many young Vietnamese people have started to celebrate festivals like Christmas and Halloween. Some people enjoy these occasions, while others worry that foreign cultures might affect Vietnamese traditions. In my opinion, celebrating these festivals is not a bad thing if we know how to balance them with our own culture.
Firstly, Christmas and Halloween are fun and exciting. They give young people chances to meet friends, wear creative costumes, and share joy. These activities also make life more colorful and help people relax after studying or working hard. Moreover, learning about foreign customs can help Vietnamese youth become more open-minded and understand the world better.
However, it is also important to remember our own festivals, such as Tet or Mid-Autumn. We should not forget our traditions just because foreign ones look modern or trendy.
In conclusion, celebrating foreign festivals can be positive as long as we respect and preserve our Vietnamese culture at the same time. Balance is the key.
