Walt Disney was one of the most famous and influential film producers, animators and entrepreneurs in the world. He was born on 5 December 1901 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. When he was a child, he was interested in drawing and spent much of his free time creating pictures. In 1923, he moved to Hollywood with his brother Roy and started a small animation company.Disney became famous for creating Mickey Mouse, one of the best-known cartoon characters in the world. He was also a very successful filmmaker. In 1937, he produced Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the first full-length animated feature film made by his studio. Later, he created many popular films and developed Disneyland, which opened in California in 1955.Walt Disney was married to Lillian Bounds, and they had two daughters. He worked with his brother Roy for many years and together they built the Walt Disney Studios into a successful company.Walt Disney died on 15 December 1966 in California, aged 65. His ideas and achievements continue to influence entertainment around the world.
