Viet Nam is highly prone to typhoons, which frequently ravage its extensive coastline from June to November. These powerful storms are often accompanied by torrential rains and fierce winds, triggering catastrophic flooding and landslides, particularly in the Central region. The aftermath is often devastating, as typhoons destroy vital infrastructure, displace communities, and cause significant agricultural losses. To combat these threats, the government emphasizes disaster preparedness and resilient infrastructure to mitigate the socio-economic impact. Despite these challenges, the resilience of the Vietnamese people remains a key factor in recovering from such natural calamities.
Topic 1:
Living a healthy lifestyle offers numerous significant benefits for both physical and mental well-being. Maintaining a balanced diet and exercising regularly helps to strengthen the immune system and reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. Furthermore, it improves sleep quality, increases energy levels, and enhances daily concentration. Mentally, a healthy lifestyle aids in stress and anxiety relief, promotes a positive mood, and contributes to a longer lifespan. It is truly the best investment you can make in yourself.
Topic 2: In my family, the Lunar New Year is the most important reunion occasion. Every year, we uphold special traditions. Before Tết, the whole family cleans the house together, decorates with peach branches and kumquat trees, and prepares the five-fruit tray. New Year's Eve is the most sacred moment; we gather around, watch the fireworks, and exchange New Year's wishes with grandparents and parents. On the morning of the first day, the whole family puts on traditional "áo dài" and visits relatives, receiving lucky red envelopes. These customs help connect generations and preserve our family's cultural beauty.
Topic 3:
I try to contribute to my family’s chores every day in various ways. Every morning, I help my mother prepare breakfast and clean the dining table. I am also responsible for tidying my bedroom and organizing my books neatly. Weekly, I help my father water the plants in the garden and walk our dog. These tasks, though small, help lessen my parents' burden while teaching me independence and responsibility. My family always values cooperation and sharing.
