Nowadays, many young Vietnamese people celebrate foreign festivals such as Christmas and Halloween. While some people worry that these events may negatively influence traditional culture, I believe that celebrating foreign festivals is not necessarily a bad thing.

Firstly, taking part in international festivals helps young people learn about other cultures and become more open-minded. Activities like decorating Christmas trees or wearing Halloween costumes create chances for students to socialize, relax and reduce stress after long hours of studying. Moreover, these festivals are often celebrated in a modern and creative way, which suits the lifestyle of young people today.

However, concerns about losing traditional values are understandable. If young people focus too much on foreign festivals, they may gradually ignore important Vietnamese traditions such as Tet or Mid-Autumn Festival. Therefore, it is important to maintain a balance between enjoying new cultures and preserving national identity.

In conclusion, I believe that celebrating foreign festivals can bring positive experiences as long as young people do not forget their own cultural roots. Embracing other cultures while respecting traditional values is the best way forward in a globalized world.
