Nowadays, many young Vietnamese people celebrate foreign festivals like Christmas and Halloween. Some people think this is fine, but others worry that it will harm Vietnamese culture. In my opinion, it is good to join these festivals if we still keep our own traditions. First, celebrating foreign festivals helps young people have fun and learn more about other cultures. They can enjoy new activities, wear costumes, and spend time with friends. These festivals also make cities more lively and help shops earn more money. However, we should not forget our traditional festivals such as Tet, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Hung Kings’ Day. These events are an important part of our history and show who we are as Vietnamese people. In conclusion, it is not wrong to celebrate Christmas or Halloween. We just need to remember and respect our own culture at the same time. That way, we can enjoy both foreign and Vietnamese traditions.
