Nowadays, more and more young Vietnamese people celebrate foreign festivals such as Christmas and Halloween. While some people worry that this trend may weaken traditional culture, I believe that celebrating these events can bring positive effects if it is done in a balanced way.

On the one hand, foreign festivals create opportunities for cultural exchange and help young people become more open-minded. By participating in global celebrations, they can learn about different customs, improve their language skills, and connect with international trends. Moreover, these festivals often bring joy, creativity, and social interaction, which can reduce stress and strengthen friendships.

On the other hand, concerns about losing traditional values are understandable. If young people focus only on foreign celebrations and ignore important Vietnamese festivals such as Tet or Mid-Autumn Festival, cultural identity may gradually fade. Therefore, it is important to maintain awareness of national traditions and preserve meaningful customs.

In my opinion, cultural exchange should be encouraged, but it should not replace local heritage. By celebrating both international and traditional festivals, young Vietnamese people can enjoy diversity while still respecting and protecting their cultural roots.

In my opinion, celebrating both traditional and international festivals makes life richer and more meaningful.
