The pie charts compare how three different age groups—teenagers, young adults, and old people—access their news.
Overall, there is a distinct shift from digital to traditional media as the age of the audience increases. Teenagers are the most digitally-oriented, with over half (52%) relying on online news sites. Television follows at 37%, while printed newspapers are almost negligible at only 4%.
Among young adults, the distribution is more even. While online sites (33%) and TV (35%) remain popular, there is a significant rise in the use of printed newspapers, which account for 26% of their news consumption. In sharp contrast, old people favor traditional sources. TV is their primary medium at 42%, and printed newspapers remain significant at 23%. Notably, only 6% of older individuals use online sites, while "Others" accounts for a substantial 29%.
In summary, younger generations prefer the internet, whereas older people remain loyal to television and print.
