Subject: Happy Tet! Here's how my family celebrates!

Happy Lunar New Year! I wanted to tell you a bit about how my family celebrates Tet here in Vietnam.

The first thing we do is thoroughly clean and decorate the house to welcome good luck. We put up peach blossoms and kumquat trees . On New Year’s Eve, we gather for a big family dinner with traditional dishes like bánh chưng (sticky rice cake).

The next day, we put on new clothes and visit our grandparents and relatives to wish them health and happiness. The best part for the children is receiving lì xì (lucky money) in red envelopes! It's a wonderful time to honor traditions and spend quality time together.

How do you usually celebrate the New Year?
