Walt Disney is famous around the world for creating some of the most beloved animated characters and films in history. He is best known as the creator of Mickey Mouse and the founder of The Walt Disney Company, which has brought joy to millions of people of all ages.

He was born in Chicago in 1901 and developed a passion for drawing and painting as a child. Walt attended Brenton Grammar School but left at the age of 16 to pursue his dreams in art and animation.

He also created the world’s first theme park, Disneyland, which became a symbol of imagination and happiness. Over his career, he won 26 Oscars, 3 Golden Globe Awards, and 1 Emmy Award.

Walt had three older brothers and one younger sister, and with his wife Lillian Bounds, he had two daughters. He died in 1966 from lung cancer, but The Walt Disney Studios continues to thrive, inspiring people everywhere to dream big and believe in magic.
