A surgeon is a doctor who does operations to help sick or injured people. In the past, this job was mostly done by men because people thought it wass very difficult and stressful. Nowadays, many women can also become surgeons. A surgeon's main duties are examining patients, doing surgeries, and taking care of patients after the operation. To be a good surgeon, a person needs to be careful, patient, and calm, because even a small mistake can be dangerous. Surgeon also need to work hard and handle pressure well. Both men and women can do this job because ability and effort are more important than gender. Having both male and female surgeons is good for patients because they have more choices and may feel more comfortable when receiving treatment.
