Today, many teenagers spend a lot of time looking at screens like phones and computers. This has become a normal part of life. However, spending too much time on these devices can cause problems. It is important to limit the amount of screen time for teenagers to help their minds, their bodies, and their ability to talk with people in real life.

First, too much screen time can be bad for teenagers' mental health. When they use social media, they often see pictures of other people who seem to have perfect lives. This can make them compare themselves and feel sad or worried about their own life. Also, being online all the time can be stressful. Limiting screen time gives teenagers a break from this pressure and helps them feel more confident and happy with who they are.

Second, spending many hours with screens can harm a teenager's physical health. Most of the time, when they are using a device, they are sitting down and not moving. This lack of exercise is not healthy and can cause problems later in life. The light from screens can also make it difficult for them to sleep well at night. Good sleep is very important for young people. When we limit screen time, we encourage teenagers to be more active and get the rest they need to be healthy.

Finally, talking to people online is not the same as talking to them face-to-face. When teenagers only chat through text, they can miss learning important social skills. These are skills like understanding body language and making eye contact. They need these skills for future situations, such as getting a job or making good friends. By having less screen time, teenagers have more chances to practice talking with people in the real world and build stronger relationships.

To conclude, technology is a useful tool, but it is important to use it in a balanced way. Too much screen time can negatively affect a teenager’s mind, body, and social life. By setting limits, parents and schools can help teenagers to be healthier and happier. It is our job to make sure they grow up with the skills they need for a successful life, both online and offline.
