He was born in Chicago, the USA, in 1901.

He was a very successful film-maker, who created Mickey Mouse and many other famous cartoon characters.
Apart from making films, he was also famous for founding Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
He had four brothers and one sister. He married Lillian Bounds and they had two daughters.
He died in 1966, but The Walt Disney Studios has continued to grow and become one of the most successful companies in the world.
