The pie charts compare the primary news sources preferred by three different age groups: teenagers, young adults, and old people. Overall, online news sites are the most dominant source for younger generations, while older people rely more heavily on traditional media like TV and printed newspapers. Specifically, over half of teenagers (52%) and a third of young adults (33%) get their news from online platforms. In stark contrast, only 6% of the elderly use the internet for news. TV is a popular choice across all groups, but it peaks among old people at 42%, compared to 37% for teenagers and 35% for young adults. Notably, printed newspapers show a significant generational gap. While nearly 30% of old people still read physical papers, only 7% of teenagers and 6% of young adults do the same. Other sources account for a quarter of the news consumption for young adults (26%) and old people (23%).
