When young Vietnamese learn about the customs of other countries, they become more open-minded and tolerant. This is important in today’s globalized world, where international communication is increasing. Of course, it is also essential to preserve our own traditional festivals, such as Tet or Mid-Autumn Festival. However, enjoying foreign celebrations does not mean forgetting Vietnamese culture. WALT DISNEY – THE FATHER OF MICKEY MOUSE Walt Disney is famous around the world for creating beloved animated characters, especially Mickey Mouse, and for founding one of the most successful entertainment companies in history. He was born on December 5, 1901, in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Missouri. As a boy, Disney loved drawing and storytelling. He attended McKinley High School, where he studied art, and later took evening classes at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts to improve his skills. Walt Disney became a very successful filmmaker. In 1928, he created Mickey Mouse, who quickly became a cultural icon. He went on to produce classic animated films such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. Apart from making films, he was also famous for creating Disneyland in California, a magical theme park that attracted millions of visitors. Disney came from a large family with four brothers and one sister. He later had two daughters with his wife, Lillian.
