Hiện tượng phú duỡng là hiện tượng nước bị giàu chất dinh dưỡng (chủ yếu là nitrat và photphat), gây ra sự phát triển quá mức của tảo và thực vật phù du.

Nguyên nhân

Do nước thải sinh hoạt, nông nghiệp và công nghiệp chứa nhiều chất dinh dưỡng như nitơ và photpho

Các Phân bón hóa học và thuốc trừ sâu rửa trôi vào nguồn nước.

Tác hại

Tảo phát triển nhanh → chết đi → bị phân hủy, tiêu thụ nhiều oxy hòa tan → thiếu oxy cho các sinh vật khác.

Gây hien tượng “chết” của ao hồ Ảnh hưởng đến hệ sinh thái thủy sinh và chất lượng nguồn nước.
