Walt Disney is famous around the world for being a legendary American animator, producer and co-founder The Walt Disney Company.
He was born in 1901 in Chicago. He attended McKinley High School in Chicago.
He was a very successful film-maker, who created the iconic character Mickey Mouse in 1928, and produced the world's first full-length animated feature, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, in 1937. Apart from making films, he was also famous for his pioneering work on television and for creating the world's first theme park, Disneyland, which opened in California in 1955.
He had three brothers and one siíter. He and his wife Lillian had two childrens, both daughters.
He died in 1966 from lung cancer. Despite his death, The Walt Disney Studios continued its success, expanding its theme parks globally and acquiring other major entertainment companies like Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm, ensuring his legacy lives on.
