WALT DISNEY – THE FATHER OF MICKEY MOUSE

Walt Disney is famous around the world for being a talented artist, animator, and film producer, who created Mickey Mouse and built Disneyland.

Childhood and education
He was born in 1901 in Chicago.
He attended Benton Grammar School, but dropped out at the age of 16.

Achievements
He was a very successful film-maker, who created Mickey Mouse.
Apart from making films, he was also famous as a businessman and for establishing Disneyland. He won 26 Oscars, 3 Golden Globe Awards, and 1 Emmy Award.

Family
He had three older brothers and a younger sister. He was married to Lillian Bounds for 41 years. They had two daughters, one biological and one adopted.

Death and the continued success of The Walt Disney Studios
He died in 1966 at the age of 65 from cancer. After his death, The Walt Disney Studios continued to expand and became one of the most successful entertainment companies in the world.
