Walt Disney is famous around the world for creating some of the most iconic characters and stories in entertainment history, especially the beloved Mickey Mouse. Born on December 5, 1901, in Chicago, Illinois, Walt showed an early interest in art and animation. He attended McKinley High School in Chicago and later studied at the Kansas City Art Institute.
Disney’s achievements are vast. He became a highly successful filmmaker, known for creating animated classics such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, and Fantasia. Apart from making films, Walt Disney was also famous for establishing Disneyland, a revolutionary theme park that brought his imaginative worlds to life.
Walt had four brothers and one sister, and he married Lillian Bounds in 1925, with whom he had two daughters, Diane and Sharon.
Walt Disney died on December 15, 1966, but his legacy lives on through The Walt Disney Studios, which continues to create beloved films, theme parks, and characters that inspire millions worldwide.
