Subject: Proposal for "Kindness Online" Awareness Campaign
I am writing to propose a school-wide campaign titled "Kindness Online," aimed at addressing the rising concerns regarding cyberbullying and digital citizenship among our students.
Rationale and Objectives
In an era where our social lives are increasingly digital, cyberbullying has become a significant barrier to student well-being. The primary goal of this campaign is to educate students on the psychological impact of online harassment and to foster a culture of empathy. We aim to empower "upstanders" who will actively intervene rather than remain silent witnesses.
Proposed Activities
The campaign will span one week and include:
• Interactive Workshops: Led by IT specialists focusing on digital footprints and privacy.
• Poster Competition: Encouraging students to design visual reminders of online kindness to be displayed in hallways.
• The "Report, Don’t Retaliate" Seminar: A session providing clear steps for reporting abuse safely.
Expected Outcomes
By the end of the campaign, we anticipate a measurable decrease in online conflicts and a safer, more supportive environment for all students. I hope you will support this initiative to ensure our school remains a positive space, both offline and online.
