In recent years, an increasing number of young Vietnamese have shown great enthusiasm for celebrating foreign festivals such as Christmas and Halloween. While some people are concerned that this trend might harm traditional culture, I believe it brings more benefits than drawbacks.

Firstly, participating in international celebrations helps young people broaden their cultural knowledge. They learn about different customs, values, and lifestyles, which encourages open-mindedness and global awareness. For example, decorating a Christmas tree or joining a Halloween party gives them a chance to understand Western traditions in a fun and meaningful way.

Secondly, these events create new opportunities for social interaction and community bonding. Many schools, shops, and neighborhoods organize activities that bring people together, strengthen friendships, and boost creativity.

Of course, we should not forget our national holidays like Tet or the Mid-Autumn Festival. As long as young people continue to respect and preserve Vietnamese traditions, enjoying foreign festivals is not a problem.

In conclusion, celebrating foreign festivals is a positive cultural exchange that makes modern Vietnamese society more dynamic and open-minded.
