The line graph illustrates changes in the percentage of urban and rural populations in Viet Nam between 1960 and 2020. Overall, the proportion of people living in urban areas increased steadily, while the rural population showed a continuous decline over the same period.
In 1960, the majority of Vietnamese people lived in rural areas, accounting for about 85% of the population, whereas only 15% lived in cities. From 1960 to 1980, the rural population decreased slightly to around 81%, and it continued to fall gradually, reaching 80% in 1990. After that, the decline became more significant, dropping to 70% in 2010 and 63% in 2020.
By contrast, the urban population rose throughout the period. It increased from 15% in 1960 to 19% in 1980, then climbed steadily to 30% in 2010 and 37% in 2020, reflecting rapid urbanisation in Viet Nam.
WALT DISNEY - THE FATHER OF MICKEY MOUSE
Walt Disney is famous around the world for his talent and creativity as the creator of Mickey Mouse and many other beloved cartoons.
Childhood and education
He was born in 1901 in Chicago. At the age of 16, he attended Brenton Grammar School, but soon dropped out.
Achievements
He was a very successful film-maker, he developed the character Mickey Mouse in 1928 which was his first great success. After that, he continued to create other famous and impressive animated films such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937, Cinderella in 1950, Sleeping Beauty in 1959, etc… Apart from making films, he was also famous for being the founder of Disneyland. In July 1955, he opened Disneyland in Anaheim, California. During his career, he won 26 Oscars, 3 Golden Globe Awards and 1 Emmy Award
Family
He had three older brothers and one younger sister. Walt married Lillian Bounds in 1925, and they had two daughters, one of them was adopted.
Death and the continued success of The Walt Disney Studios
As he was a serious smoker, he had lung cancer and passed away in 1966 after 1 month of treatment. Inspite of it, his legacy continues. The Walt Disney Studios and theme parks still bring happiness to millions of people all over the world.
