In recent years, more young Vietnamese people have started celebrating festivals like Christmas and Halloween. In my opinion, this trend is a positive development that reflects the openness and cultural exchange in our society.

Firstly, celebrating international festivals allows young people to learn about different cultures and traditions. This broadens their horizons and promotes tolerance and understanding. For example, Christmas and Halloween bring joy and fun through activities like gift-giving and costume parties, which can strengthen friendships and family bonds.

Secondly, embracing foreign festivals does not mean losing Vietnamese identity. Instead, it shows that our culture is dynamic and adaptable. We can enjoy new customs while still preserving our own traditions, such as Tet or Mid-Autumn Festival. Cultural exchange is a two-way street that enriches everyone.

However, it is important to maintain balance. Young people should celebrate foreign festivals with respect and not let them overshadow local customs. Overall, I believe that celebrating Christmas and Halloween in Vietnam is a positive sign of cultural openness and diversity.
