My neighbourhood :

My neighbourhood is in the center of Cao Lãnh city . There are many places like : pagoda, supermarket, cinema and so on . The people in my neighbourhood are extremely friendly , polite and humorous . There are many trees so the air is always fresh and clear . The streets here are wide , busy and crowed during the day. On the weekends , I often play badminton in Van Mieu Park with my friend . I think my neighbourhood is beautiful and interesting .

I’m writing from the most beautiful and incredible place in the world that I have ever seen during my 15-year career as a travel writer in more than 70 countries. I’m writing to you from Ha Long Bay in Vietnam.

There is a saying that if you have not visited Ha Long Bay you have not yet been to Vietnam. I say that if you have not visited Ha Long Bay you have not yet seen the most beautiful place in the world.

180 km from Hanoi City, towards the northeast, it takes around 4 hours by bus due to the speed limit, and then you will arrive to Ha Long City and the wonderful Ha Long Bay.

1969 limestone islands of various shapes, sizes, and in different green and amazing colors rise above the sea level in an area of more than 1,500 square kilometers that creates this World Heritage site. Ha Long Bay still retains its historical and culture values.

The guide told me that Ha Long Bay has been twice recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1994 and 2000, and also that Ha Long Bay is in second place in the worldwide competition of the World’s Seven Natural Wonders. I told him that before all, God has given the Vietnamese people this wonder for their kindness.

Ha Long Bay is as attractive and beautiful throughout the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Traveling on small sailboats among hundreds of limestone islands, one may visit the amazing Surprise Cave, the floating fishing village, and see how the locals live are top of the list of things to do here. On Titop Island, one may swim and relax on the beach or enjoy a kayaking program to the nearby Luon Cave and much more.

At school, I learn many subject such as : Math, Literature, English, Art, Music,...In Math lessons, I learn how to count. In English classes, I learn how to speak English. In Music lessons, I sing songs. In Art classes, I draw pictures. So on...In all subject, I like English best because it's very interesting and important for me. At breaks, I have a lots activities : skipping rope, hiding and seeking, chatting with friends, so on...Each day at school is a happy day. I love my school very much.

Hi, my name is Truong. School plays an important role in our life.We have knowledge from school and play with friends. If we don't have school, we will be a bad people. My school is surrounded by some tall trees with the yellow gate near the guard's room. My school is very large. It's nice too with the sports ground. In here we play some games from school organize it for us or we can play football. It's very fun. There are 25 classes in my school. I'm in class 6A. In front of the yard, we planted a lot of trees so now it's growing and it's nice and beautiful. When I'm sad, I will see these flowers to release sadness. I love teachers and friends too. They are very friendly and open. They help me when I have some problem. Oh! I love my school. I won't remember school's image when I leave out the school.

Every day is a good day to go to school. In addition to the lessons that bring useful knowledge, the best time is recess. When the drums sounded, we were all happy to have a break. When it was time to play, everyone had a good conversation with each other. Some students will clear the board in preparation for the next class. The girls invited each other to play rope skipping. The school yard is extremely crowded at this time. There are students of all grades here. There are groups of words to play badminton, others play badminton. My best friend is Lan. We have known each other since we were 10 years old. However we became best friends when we were at grade 7. At that time I was very bad at English and it was who helped me improve my English. Now she lives with her parents in Nguyen Trai street.

If I were to describe how she looks I would say she is very pretty. She has long black hair a straight nose and a small pointed chin. She is quite slim. She doesn t like to dress up so I usually see her wearing jeans and a T - shirt. She has a very nice personality and a wonderful sense of humour but she can also get a little depressed from time to time. I can always count on her to be honest and to give me the best advice.

What I like about Lan is that she has same hobbies with me. We both enjoy singing karaoke reading comic books and going shopping. We like going to the cinema but sometimes can t agree on which movie to see. In addition since I am better in Maths and Chemistry and she is better in English and languages we can always help each other if we get confused about a difficult homework assignment. We are so lucky that we get along so well. I hope that our friendship can last long.

After school is a very good time for all the students to rest! Uhm... When I get away from the school, I will meet my friends to play football. I always do that except for Sunday. I like to run with the ball, I like to kick and I like to talk and laugh with my friends. Then, I will go home to help my mom with the housework. Reading book can make us disciplined, punctual, loyal and most importantly a very successful person in this life. While reading books, noone can feel disturb or alone. I think this hobby is more precious than other precious stones in the world. It can provide us noble thoughts, ideas to work in many fields and high level of knowledge. Interesting and knowledgeable book is like best friend of the someone who likes to read.

One of my hobbies are listening to music, especially the songs in English. My hobby started when I was a student in the first year at the University of Da Nang. I spend a lot of time to listen to music while doing chores such as sweeping, washing clothes or washing dishes ... or when I sleep. I like Taylor Swift and Rihana ... they are great singers. I can learn English vocabulary while listening to music, and it also made me feel more relaxed.

In Vietnam, almost everyone, has been a volunteer work and I have too. At my age, I have not been donating blood so I often donate books, toys and clothes for street children and homeless people. I often do this work with my mother. Latest here on Sunday, I wish my mother was used to donate books and clothes for a charity organization. In here, I met the orphans children. I played with them. Then I gave candies to them. They were all very happy.

Some people think doing volunteer work is waste of time but in my opinion, doing volunteer work helps me relax after school and it helps me healthy. When I doing this work, I feel very happy to bring happiness to them
