Dạng bài trọng âm sẽ dễ thở hơn khi chúng ta có một vài quy tắc quen thuộc. Dưới đây cô sẽ đưa ra một vài quy tắc trọng âm, các em hãy đọc và làm bài sau nhé. 

1. Trọng âm từ có 2 âm tiết

- Đa số danh từ, tính từ 2 âm tiết, trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết thứ 1.

  Eg: PEOple /ˈpiː.pəl/                    CLEVer /ˈklev.ər/

Ngoại trừ: police, machine, belief, alone, alive, …

- Đa số động từ, giới từ 2 âm tiết, trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết thứ 2.

  Eg: preVENT /prɪˈvent/              deSTROY /dɪˈstrɔɪ/

Ngoại trừ: happen, enter, follow, visit, travel, …

2. Trọng âm với hậu tố / đuôi
