Some people say that they living in the country, the others living in the city. In my point of view, I prefer living in the countryside for a number of benefits. First of all , It is a quiet and peaceful place. There are a lot of plant species so the air and the food are fresh and clean. We can enjoy a healthy natural condition without worrying much about environmental pollution. We are free to admire the breathtaking landscapes such as huge meadows, peaceful hills or forests. We can also enjoy walking in the forest and picking mushrooms or hunting. Second, There aren't any huge blocks of flats, modern skyscrapers and bothersome traffic jams in the countryside so the air is not polluted. There is no water pollution, either. Moreover, living in the countryside is cheaper than it is in the city, so you can buy many hings at lower prices. The other positive side is the safety. In the rural area the crime rate is much lower. There aren't a lot of housebreaks of burglary and robbery. In the countryside people usually and keep eyes on neighbour's estates. They always react when something strange is happening. Finally, most of the villagers are friendly and hospitable. They are always willing to help each other. Moreover, people in the cities are very susceptible to stress because of pollution, the pressure of work, competitions, etc. In summary, Living in the countryside has many advantages because of fresh air, clean food, specially the people’s friendliness and hospitality.

The place I am living in is a beautiful little city near the sea. The infrastructure here is quite advanced and modern. In the past, the number of vehicle was so high, so traffic congestion often occurred, especially during the rush hours. However, recently, most people have been travelled by public transport using alternative energy instead of private vehicles, so the city has significantly reduced traffic congestion and pollution. The city also has many big and small amusement parks, movie theaters, restaurant ... to satisfy the needs of consumers. My favorite place in this city is the huge harbor. Every day, there are thousands of ships and boats going back and forth, of fishermen, traders or tourists. The atmosphere of the market is very vibrant and bustling. This is also the factor that makes the city become prosperous and rich. Moreover, the people in the city are very friendly, open minded and very aware of environmental protection. So even though there are many factories and vehicles, the city is still clean, beautiful, the air is fresh and cool. I love this city very much, hope that in the near future, the city will grow and become more and more modern.

Nơi mình đang sống là một thành phố nhỏ xinh sát biển. Cơ sở hạ tầng ở đây khá tiên tiến và hiện đại. Trước đây, lượng xe cộ đi lại rất nhiều nên thường xảy ra tình trạng tắc nghẽn giao thông, đặc biệt là vào giờ cao điểm. Bởi vậy mà dù cho có rất nhiều các khu công nghiệp hay xe cộ thì thành phố vẫn sạch, đẹp, không khí trong lành, mát mẻ. Mình rất yêu thành phố này, hy vọng rằng trong tương lai gần, thành phố sẽ ngày càng phát triển và hiện đại hơn nữa.

However, besides these positive aspects, the city still has some drawbacks. First of all, because of many factories, transportation and large population, the air here is very polluted, the road is full of smoke and dust, as a result it makes a bad effect on people's health. In addition, due to immigration, so many people rushed to the city so the cost of services and equipment is quite expensive. This is also the cause of a number of social evils such as theft, addiction, gambling, ... Trước hết, qua nhiều nhà máy, phương tiện di chuyển và dân số đông khiến không khí ở đây rất ô nhiễm, đường thì đầy khói bụi nên ảnh hưởng xấu đến sức khỏe của mọi người. Ngoài ra, do tình trạng nhập cư, người dân đổ xô về thành phố nên giá phí cho những dịch vụ và đồ dùng khá đắt đỏ. Đây cũng là nguyên nhân xuất hiện một số tệ nạn xã hội như trộm cắp, nghiện ngập, đánh bạc,... Ngày nay có rất nhiều những thành phố lớn nhỏ mọc lên, ngày càng nhiều người di cư ở thành phố, song bên cạnh những mặt tích cực thì thành phố vẫn còn những hạn chế mà không ai mong muốn. Mỗi chúng ta hãy cân nhắc kĩ lưỡng trước khi đưa ra quyết định về nơi sinh sống.

A lot of people decide to move to the countryside nowadays. However, there are still many people who prefer stay in the town and say that they couldn't live anywhere else. So which place is better to live? Let's think about both of them.

I would to start with the advantages and disadvantages of the big city life. Living in such a big city has a lot of advantages. There is a big offer how to spend free time. There are a lot of theatres, concerts and other ways of entertainment. There is always a lot to do and visit! There are a lot of possibilities of shopping. In various shopping centres and galleries you can buy whatever you want. What is more, there are a lot of working places in a city. Many big international companies have their locations in the cities, so it is much easier to find a job in a big city. Moreover, the public transport is developed quite well, so the commuting to work isn't a problem. On the other hand, there are some disadvantages of living in a big city. Cities are very crowded. Everywhere there are crowds: on the pavements and in the buses. What is more, the traffic is heavy and city's car parks are always very full. Sometimes it is very difficult to get from a given place to another. It may take hours! Moreover, the other disadvantage is the safety in a city, but actually the lack of safety. There is a big crime rates in cities. So you have to be very careful at nights when you leave your home.

I think that in the country the problem of crime isn't so big. There aren't so many people and they usually know each other well. The possibility of robbery or other crime is relatively lower. Life in the countryside is more peaceful and the life is also slower. What is more, it is less stressful. There isn't any time pressure and the traffic conditions are better. A lot of places you may reach on foot.

The city offers a lot: there are huge buildings, skyscrapers or some historic monuments. On the other hand, in the countryside there are a lot of breathtaking sceneries, space and other amazing places such as forests, lakes or mountains. Moreover, people in the countryside are quite different than people living in the city: they are relaxed, friendly and family-oriented. People in the city are ants. They are always in hurry, busy and out of time. In the country people enjoy lives and take pleasure in their daily activities. As a disadvantage of living in the countryside we may consider the commuting problems. People who stay in the countryside often have to work in the nearest cities, so it may take a lot of time to get to it. However, the living costs in the country are much lower, the variety of products in shops is smaller.

To sum up I would to say that both countryside and city have some advantages and disadvantages. Both city and country may be a good place to live. However I will stay in the city till I retire. Then I would to move to the country to have a rest. I think that everyone of us will take into consideration all aspects before he decides to move to the country.

Life in modern cities truly causes a lot of nuisances. In the first place, citizens have to deal with traffic congestion every day. This problem is even worse in the rush hour when so many people run out to work and are stuck on streets for hours. More and more people find it difficult to live on their modest salaries when prices are going up all the time. Financial pressure makes city dwellers become constantly stressed and tired. I prefer to live in a city because i think that life in a city is always more exciting and more comfortable than life in a country or in a small town.
First of all, in cities there is usually something to do or somewhere to go. In the city there is a large access to education an there is easier to find good and ineresting job. Moreover there is a good selection of cinemas, galeries, theaters or restaurants, where people can spand their free time. There is always something interesting and it is impossible to be bored.

In the cities, there are a lot of good shops where we can do the shopping easily and quickly. Moreover there are many sports facilities such as swimming pools, gym halls or tennis courts where people can spend their free time and practis their favourite sports.
Young people in cities are in better situation, than young people in village or in a small town, because young city- dwallers can go to clubs, discos, and spend their leisure time. They have also more opportunities to meet someone.

However living in a big city have some disadvantages. Havy traffic is big problem. Fumes emitted into the atmosphere polutte the air and many city-dwallers suffer from serious medical disorders. Moreover there are many car accidents every day and the noise never stops. There are many cars and it is difficult to find a parking place especially in the centre. In addition the crime rate in cities is very high.
Summing up, in spite of all these disadvantages, living in a city is more exciting, interesting and never dull for me.
