Computer is a modern tool which has made life very easy and simple. It has the capability to complete more than one task in small time. It is able to do work of many human beings alone within less time. It is the utility of highest efficiency. The first computer was a mechanical computer which was created by the Charles Babbage. A computer works successfully using its hardware and fully installed application software. Other accessories of the computer are keyboard, mouse, printer, CPU and UPS.

The data which we put into the computer using device is called input data and device as input device and data which we take outside using printer or the other device is called as output data and device as output device. The input data gets changed into the information which can be stored and changed anytime. Computer is very safe tool for data storage which is being used in various fields. We can shop, pay our electricity bill, water bill, video chat, messaging, e-mail messages anywhere in the world and lots of online activities using the internet.

Computer currently helps me much in my study.

First of all, it helps me format my lessons effectively. I often type my lessons on the computer and format them to make them attractive to eyes so that I may learn them by heart quickly and review them conveniently.

Next, computer helps me keep my materials safely for future use. Today, beside the hard drive, I often bring my USB’s with me and use them to save all what I want at any time and place.

Moreover, I often updatemy materials on the screen. This enables me to create clear and tidy versions of materials and save up much time for other activities. On the other hand, computer is the most helpful friend helping me learn information and knowledge on the internet.

Thanks to computer, I often access the internet and learn many things. Computer has made my understanding better day by day and become indispensable for my study.

The benefit of the computer.

Nowadays, Internet has become an important part in the modern life. Besides the advantages, it also brings about many disadvantages that no one expects. First, Internet is so addictive and time-consuming. Using it sometimes makes you lose your sense of time and easily deep in meaningless things. For example, when you start studying at 7 o’clock, you have intention of using Internet for doing homework but then you are addicted to the entertainment websites and can not stop. As a result, it takes you a lot of time to finish work and makes you lazier and lazier. Second, some social networking sites contain potential risks, because they are not strictly controlled. Some websites can report the false and reactionary information, other ones even can take advantage of your belief then make money illegally. Last but not least, Internet affects harmfully to your health. It is undeniable fact that your vision is shorten so much when you use smartphone or computer so much. Moreover, it also results in some diseases, which relate to memory and skeleton, especially promote the senescence faster. Taking into consideration, Internet is not bad but everyone should uses it reasonably and effectively.

Modern life brings about the storm of technology. Nowadays, it seem that people depend more and has become slaves of the Internet. Every morning, when opening their eyes, the first activity of the young people is opening smartphone to check the message, facebook, zalo, instagram, ... In the meeting, old friends meet again but everyone holds the phone in their hands for surfing web, they just say the something and then re-plug the face to the screen. Invisible, the Internet is splitting and bringing us far apart. We tend to express our status on social networks instead of talking to our loved ones like friends or parents. We are more and more just chasing the shabby, illusion on society that neglect the real precious things besides. We even remember the fan-meeting, know the clothes, the latest trend but can not remember the mother's birthday. Perhaps, the emergence of the Internet has brought us far apart, living out of direction, reality. What a pity!

Nowadays almost everyone in the world have had a contact with computers. A great part of them has been using international computer’s net known as Internet.
I think using internet has more advantages then disadvantages. First of all, Internet provides access to a lot of information. Some of them are very useful in your job other helps in your hobby. Searching the net with Google, you can find everything you want. You can also do shopping using Internet. Of course it has no sense to buying a roll, but if you need something inaccessible, you will be able to buy it in Internet shop. You need only to select what you want, fill in some forms and click ok. In a few days you will get what you have ordered directly to your home, without going anywhere. You can pay with your credit card, pay postman when you get the package, or transfer money from your bank account. Nowadays almost every bigger bank offers transferring money with Internet. It is more faster then going to the bank and filling blankets. Transferring money in traditional way takes about a day, using Internet you can do this in few seconds even in Saturday and Sunday evenings. What’s more internet banks give you insurance against unauthorized transaction. Some people thinks that their money can by easily stolen by hackers. It isn’t true because the easiest way to steal your money from internet bank is breaking to your house and stealing you card of codes. Internet banks have very good protections witch make them practically unbreakable.
Next advantage of internet is email. Internet mails get in a few seconds in their destinations. It is very important when you want to send something for example to Australia. Of course you can send not only texts. You can email whatever you want, movies, photos, songs, computer programs etc. Costs are very important advantage of emails. Sending an email is much cheaper then phoning, or sending normal letters.
Beside a lot of advantages, Internet has some disadvantages too. First of disadvantages is that people who spend too much time sitting in the front of computer can easily gets ill. Radiation emitted by computer’s screen is harmful to eyes. People who spend too much time at their homes (because they needn’t go anywhere, they can do everything using Internet) are getting weaker. Sitting a for long time is also harmful to the spine.
Second disadvantage is that Internet can by addictive. Some people just can’t live without it. They have no real friends and when Internet is down they are getting furious.
Internet has some opponents but more and more people treats Internet like telephone, or radio. They use it for fun and work, and I think at present living without internet would be quite difficult.

In this paper, I would like to discuss about the advantages and disadvantages of the internet. In the first place, the internet benefits us in many ways. It provides us with much information from every corner of the world. It helps us to know about what is happening on the earth and updates us with the most recent news. Also, the internet helps us to widen our social network with many friend in every country in the world. Through some programs such as Skype, facebook, Yahoo Messenger, etc, we have chance to make friend and talk to a variety of people. Moreover, it entertains us. Sometimes we can spend times listening to music or watching films on some websites. However, the internet also causes us many problems. The first one is to our health. Some people spend too much time searching and playing on the internet, which is not good for their brains and eyes. Next, it also prevents us from some activities such as reading books or going our with our friends. In addition, some programmes on the internet contain some bad content such as violence or ***** which are not good for young people's mental lifem.
In short, everything has its two sides, so does Internet. Therefore, it is necessary that we use it for right purposes.

It's hard to believe that no one had computers a few years ago. I wonder how people lived. There must have been a lot of paperwork.

I can't imagine writing everything by hand. I also wonder how everything worked without computers. We need computers today for everything. Hospitals, airports, the police… nothing can work without computers.

I'm sure I'd be ten times busier than now if I didn't have a computer. Imagine having to find a piece of paper and an envelope and then walking down the street to mail a letter!

I love my computer. It makes everything in my life so convenient. Sure, it freezes and crashes sometimes.

Sure I lose some data. But that's not often. Most of the time my computer is like my best friend.
