Thì hiện tại đơn (tiếng Anh: Simple present hoặc Present simple) là một thì trong tiếng Anh hiện đại. Thì này diễn tả một hành động chung chung, tổng quát lặp đi lặp lại nhiều lần hoặc một sự thật hiển nhiên hoặc một hành động diễn ra trong thời gian hiện tại.

Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn dùng để diễn tả những sự việc xảy ra ngay lúc chúng ta nói hay xung quanh thời điểm nói, và hành động chưa chấm dứt (còn tiếp tục diễn ra).

 Câu hhẳng định là khi biết chắc cái gì đó là đúng 100% thì nói "khẳng định" đúng 100%! 
* Phủ định là đưa ra ý kiến phản đối cái sai của một vấn đề gì đó, trong câu đó thường có các từ như không , không phải,...

Động từ có quy tắc là động từ tuân theo quy tắc của một thì nào đó .

Động từ bất quy tắc là động từ không có quy tắc nào hết ( V2 và V3 )

Câu hiện tại đơn là câu diễn tả sự việc xảy ra thường xuyên như thói quen hay là dể diễn tả sự việc đang diễn ra trong hiện tại.

Câu hiện tại tiếp diễn là câu nói về sự việc đang diễn ra như she is looking me because i'm so handsome.

Câu khẳng định là câu kể như I am a human.

câu phủ định là câu phản đối như you are not a boy, maybe.

Động từ bất quy tắc hơi rắc rối, ráng mà học cho hết, động từ bquytắc là động từ có dạng hai và ba . Dạng hai là dạng dùng cho quá khứ đơn như break-broke, dạng 3 là dạng dành riêng cho cá thỉ hoàn thành như break-broken.

Động từ có quy tắc thì xài bình thường , quá khứ và hoàn thành chỉ thêm ed đằng sau.
