My friend Sam’s birthday was last Saturday. He was twelve. We had a party for him, but we didn’t tell him we were going to have the party. On Saturday morning, Sam’s parents took him to breakfast at a restaurant. His cousin William has a key to his house, so we all went to the house to get ready.

First, everyone put the presents that they brought for Sam on the table in the dining room. Then, we move all the sofas and chairs in the living room so we       would have enough space to dance.
