In Unit 7 of our English textbook, we learn about pollution and how it affects our lives. In my hometown, air pollution is a big problem because there are many motorbikes and cars on the road. People also burn rubbish, so the smoke makes the air dirty. Water pollution is also serious. Some factories dump waste into the river, and some people throw plastic bags and bottles into the lake. The water becomes dirty and fish cannot live there. Noise pollution is another issue. The traffic is very noisy and people play loud music late at night. To reduce pollution, we should use public transport or bicycles, plant more trees and put rubbish in the bin. Factories must treat waste before discharging it into the environment. Each person has a responsibility to protect our environment. If we work together, we can make our town cleaner and greener.
