Khi môi trường bị ô nhiễm, con người sẽ phải đối mặt với nhiều hiểm họa: bệnh tật, thiên tai, mất mùa. Chẳng hạn, nguồn nước bị nhiễm bẩn dẫn đến dịch bệnh, không khí nhiều khói bụi gây nên các bệnh về hô hấp. Điều đó cho thấy nếu môi trường bị hủy hoại thì cuộc sống con người cũng sẽ bị đe dọa nghiêm trọng.

Bên cạnh đó, môi trường còn tạo nên vẻ đẹp và sự cân bằng cho hành tinh này. Rừng xanh giúp điều hòa khí hậu, biển cả mang lại nguồn thủy sản, những cánh đồng và dòng sông đem đến sự trù phú cho quê hương. Một khi những điều ấy bị tàn phá, cảnh quan thiên nhiên biến mất, cuộc sống của chúng ta sẽ trở nên nghèo nàn, khắc nghiệt hơn. Vì vậy, bảo vệ môi trường cũng chính là giữ gìn vẻ đẹp của cuộc sống.

Thực tế cho thấy, ở nơi nào con người có ý thức bảo vệ môi trường, nơi đó cuộc sống xanh, sạch, đẹp và lành mạnh. Những khu phố được trồng nhiều cây xanh, những dòng sông được giữ trong lành, người dân sẽ được hưởng không khí dễ chịu, sức khỏe dồi dào. Ngược lại, những vùng đất ô nhiễm rác thải, khói bụi, cuộc sống trở nên ngột ngạt, bệnh tật hoành hành. Đó là minh chứng rõ ràng rằng bảo vệ môi trường chính là bảo vệ cuộc sống của chính chúng ta.

Từ những điều trên, ta càng thấy trách nhiệm của mỗi người trong việc bảo vệ môi trường. Những hành động nhỏ như không vứt rác bừa bãi, tiết kiệm nước, trồng thêm cây xanh… đều góp phần gìn giữ môi trường. Nếu ai cũng có ý thức, cuộc sống của chúng ta sẽ ngày càng tốt đẹp hơn.

Tóm lại, môi trường gắn bó mật thiết và quyết định chất lượng cuộc sống của con người. Bảo vệ môi trường chính là bảo vệ cuộc sống của chúng ta hôm nay và mai sau. Đây là nhiệm vụ quan trọng và cấp thiết đối với toàn nhân loại.
