Ha Long Bay is a famous beauty-spot in the North-east coast of Vietnam, belongs to Quang Ninh province, 151km far from Hanoi to the east.

    Ha Long Bay is one of the seven natural wonders in the world. It is located in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province in the north of Vietnam. It is about 200 kilometers from Hanoi to Ha Long city. Therefore you spend 4 hours on travelling there by car. If budget is not a problem, an hour-long helicopter transfer is also available. The ideal season to visit Ha Long Bay is summer when the weather is warm and sunny. There are lots of beautiful caves and islands in Ha Long, so you must take a boat trip and go sightseeing. You can do water sports here like swimming, sailing, and windsurfing. Moreover, the seafood is really fresh and delicious, you must try at least once, especially grilled squid. I had a better look at the water too, and cannot say that I saw pollution by plastic or other junk floating around.  There is a thin layer of oil on the water in some parts though.

And then it's time to get back in the bus to Ha Noi, another 3.5 hours. The tour was carried out well with good seafood for lunch and I had a satisfying day.
