Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year

There are 6 people in my family. I have two brothers and one sister. I am the second oldest of my brothers and sister. My Dad goes to work everyday from 8 am to 8 pm. His job is to communicate with Vietnamese people. My mom doesn’t work outside the home. She stays home and takes care of the house. She also raises the kids and cooks everyday. My oldest brother is 23 years old. He doesn’t work or go to school. He just stays home and only does the things he wants to do. He also spends a lot of money that dad earns. My younger brother is just the opposite. He is 18 years old. Everyday he goes to school and sometimes he goes to work. He also helps my parents when he has free time. He had diploma from high school and now he is enrolled in the University. My parents are proud of him very much. Finally is my sister is 11 years old and a cute girl. She is in the fifth grade. I think she is a very smart girl. I love her and my parents very much.

My neighbourhood is different from another district . My neighbourhood is  perfect with fine weather , beautiful beaches and fresh air . The people are friendly and kind . Every home in here has a big garden . My  neighbourhood is very peaceful every day . But somethings  i don't about  my neighbourhood : The makets , Shops are far from my house . I live in Hai Duong City. It's a big and noisy city. There are a lot of houses, shops and schools here. The people here are very friendly. They always busy with their work. But sometimes they are so very noisy and I don't like that. The environment is clean. Hai Duong has specially is green bean cakes. I love my city very much because it is my home town
