English was originally the language of England, but through the historical efforts of the British Empire it has become the primary or secondary language of many former British colonies such as the United States, Canada, Australia, and India. Currently, English is the primary language of not only countries actively touched by British imperialism, but also many business and cultural spheres dominated by those countries. It is the language of Hollywood and the language of international banking and business. As such, it is a useful and even necessary language to know. There are several factors that make the English language essential to communication in our current time. First of all, it is the most common foreign language. This means that two people who come from different countries (for example, a Mexican and a Swede) usually use English as a common language to communicate. That’s why everyone needs to learn the language in order to get in touch on an international level. Speaking it will help you communicate with people from countries all over the world, not just English-speaking ones.

My favorite subjects in school are math and science. Math is my favorite subject because it is fun. It is like a mystery to find the answer. It can be challenging and can take steps sometimes. I like science too because it is about discoveries. One reaction can create another reaction. If the people that are doing the experiment are not careful, they may get the wrong reaction.
Many different jobs use math and science. Science is used to find cures for people who are sick. Doctors and nurses use math to measure how much medicine to give to people. Salespeople need to know math to count money. Architects need to know math to design buildings. Pilots use these subjects to fly a plane. All of these people use math and science daily to measure, pay and count. Math and science are needed and used all around the world. That is why math and science are so important.

Nowadays English has become an main language.English is used in almost all countrys.So learning English is an important assignment especially students.But how to learn English well is a question which most of students notice. we should learn english by ourselves . We can do grammar exercises in grammar books,write E as much as possible. It makes us revise our knowledge and improve our writing skill. We can wath E on TV , learn to sing E songs,read short stories or newpapers in E,listen to the programs on the radio and E tapes.It makes us improve our listening and reading skills.We should use a distionary for reading. It makes us save up newwords. The best important is that we usually practise by speaking with friends and learing by heart all newword and texts.

A semester ended after I took the final exam of term 1 yesterday. During the past three months, I studied very hard and seriously. In class, I always listen attentively to the teacher's lecture. At home, I always do my homework properly and carefully. When there are difficult or unclear lessons, I will ask an adult to explain them to me. Thanks to that, I have had good achievements, much improved compared to grade 2. Especially in English. Now, I can read and write very well, many times praised by her. This subject has now become my favorite subject. However, I will not stop there. In the second semester, I will try harder, to achieve more and better results.

When we start our studies, all of us already have different kinds of study skills. Our motivation springs from different sources, as does our general attitude to our studies. Nevertheless, regardless of where we are coming from, we need to take many things into consideration in our studies. Study success requires clear objectives, motivation, planning, self discipline, self confidence, good study habits and a positive attitude. Being physically fit is also helpful. Now that’s quite a list!

It is relevant here to ask if motivation and the ability to make plans and set objectives are inborn traits? And what about good reading and study habits, a positive attitude and physical fitness? How self confident were we when we were born?
