Sau more và less không phải lúc nào cũng là từ có đuôi -ly
Quy tắc là:
Tính từ hoặc trạng từ ngắn thường thêm -er
Tính từ dài và trạng từ có đuôi -ly dùng more hoặc less
Lý do là các từ dài và trạng từ có đuôi -ly không thêm được -er, nên phải dùng more/less để tạo dạng so sánh hơn hoặc kém hơn
"More/less giống như đã mang sẵn nghĩa so sánh rồi, nên từ phía sau không cần và không được mang thêm '-er' nữa."
less và more đã mang nghĩa so sánh hơn, nên từ đi sau phải giữ nguyên để tránh lặp
1.ko dùng adj_er vì bị lặp 2 lần so sánh (vd: more taller là sai)
2.dùng adj/adv nguyên bản vì more/less đi kèm tính từ/trạng từ dài, các từ này không thêm được đuôi er (vd: more beautiful)

Sau less và more không bắt buộc là adj_ly, mà thường là tính từ hoặc trạng từ nguyên dạng.
more beautiful, less expensive, more carefully, less quickly
Không dùng adj_er sau more vì more đã mang nghĩa so sánh hơn rồi, nếu nói more cheaper là sai do bị lặp nghĩa so sánh.
Dùng adj_er khi tính từ ngắn, ví dụ cheap -> cheaper, fast -> faster.
Dùng more hoặc less với tính từ dài, trạng từ dài, ví dụ more beautiful, less interesting, more carefully.
