Dear Peter,

Thank you very much for your letter which arrived a few days ago. It was lovely to hear from you. I am sorry, I haven't written for you such a long time because I studied hard to pass the final exam. However, I had a great weekend more than every when I saw a movie on TV. Now, I am writing to tell you how the wonderful movie is.

There is a famous animated film that I think everyone has seen at least once, and it is Tom and Jerry. Almost everyone is aware of the story between the miserable Tom and the mischievous mouse Jerry, and it also was part of my childhood memories. The film is about a life under the same roof between two enemies Tom and Jerry, and of course cat and mouse are always hard to get along with. Tom's owner is very afraid of mice, so she always asks Tom to catch the little mouse living in a cave that he digs on the wall. Tom is a quite lazy cat, and he often has to chase Tom so that he is not scolded by his owner or in exchange for a good meal. Sometimes, Jerry also makes mischievous jokes to tease Tom such as pull out his hair or steal his milk. Another character in the movie is the dog Spike, and he does not seem to like Tom at all. In the chasing scenes of the two main characters, they sometimes run to the garden - Spike's residence - and disturb his sleep. Most of the time, Tom would be the one who suffers Spike's anger while Jerry is having a big laugh. The plot is simple but the film Tom and Jerry always attracts a lot of audiences of all ages thanks to the lovely characters and funny circumstances. Although many years have gone by, the television channels have often displayed this film, and this is the indispensable spiritual food children. That is amazing! Do you often watch movie? What kind of movie do you like watching? Who is your favorite actor/actress?

As you know, english is the most popular. It is international language. Many people in the world use English language to communicate and understand one another. English is very useful in our life and our work. If you know English You will find work easily and widen knowledge by read book and watching program on TV in English .
So today English is very important, especially in VN education. The english language is taught in almost learning level and so it’s one of the most important subject at school and university as well.
For me, I very like English and I want to my widen knowledge so I am trying study this language.

Of all the subjects taught in school, I like Geography best. It is the only subject which teaches me everything I need to know about the world we live in, for example, vegetation, way of life of people, climate, agriculture and economy.

I learn about the countries around Malaysia and in other parts of the world and, since I cannot visit and see for myself every country in the world, I get at least a good picture of these countries by studying Geography. I am very interested in finding out more about other countries especially those that experience snow when winter comes. I often wonder about the life of the people in these countries. What would it be like to be dressed in thick clothes and boots and living in snow-covered houses amidst fir trees? Then, there are the hot desert lands that stretch for miles and miles without a tree in sight. They, too, fascinate me. I marvel at the inhabitants who are able to tolerate the intense heat of the burning sun, traveling along miles of barren, hot land on camels where the only vegetation found would be the few palm trees growing at an oasis. The wide range of food which we enjoy daily such as butter, cheese, fruits, bread that comes from wheat and many others lead me on to find out how they are processed and imported into Malaysia and finally make their appearance in our homes.

As I study more in Geography, I understand better the changes in weather conditions, for example, why there are hot and dry seasons or cool rainy days during the monsoon season and how deserts are caused.

Câu 46: Đề bài cho là câu điều kiện loại 3, diễn tả một điều ước mà bạn ước giá mà nó đã/ không xảy ra trong quá khứ. Vì vậy, thực tế là nó đã xảy ra rồi ấy, nên câu đó chuyển lại thành một việc đã xảy ra trong quá khứ rồi, vì ước là nếu... có .... thì nên thực tế sẽ là chúng tôi không có nên chúng tôi mới phải ước. 

Câu 11: To be on the phone: có nghĩa là đang nói chuyện điện thoại với ai đó

Câu 12: Dựa vào nghĩa một phần nên sẽ loại được though và instead of, còn because và because of, mà because thì phải đi với một mệnh đề, bạn lưu ý từ phía so..... trở về sau là một mệnh đề riêng lẻ bổ nghĩa cho cả phần phía trước hết luôn, nên dựa vào cụm the flood mình sẽ phải chọn because of - dùng cho cụm danh từ/ V_ing...

Trước hết, với câu này mình hiểu nghĩa của câu thì sẽ dễ hơn em nhé:

Mối quan tâm chính giữa các nhà khảo cổ học ngày nay là sự bảo tồn những địa điểm khảo cổ học, mà nhiều trong số đó đã bị đe dọa bởi sự phát triển.

which ở đây thay thế cho archaeological sites ở đằng trước; many of which: nhiều trong số đó - cách dùng mệnh đề quan hệ với từ chỉ lượng nó là như thế em nhé: từ chỉ lượng (many, some, any,...) + of + đại từ quan hệ (which / whom).

Nếu em thắc mắc tại sao không phải là B thì lời giải thích là vì đây là mệnh đề quan hệ không xác định: cung cấp thông tin bổ sung về archaeological sites; để tránh nhầm lẫn nếu dùng đáp án B là many of them - them gây confused với danh từ vế trước là archaelogists.
